Administrative & Academic Complex

 

  • The Institute has a spacious Administrative Block.

  • It has a state-of-the-art Conference Hall with Air Conditioner, Public Address System, Multi-Media and other audio-visual aids.

  • There is one big classroom with a sitting capacity for 80-90 trainees. The Institute is proposing to convert it into a state-of- the-art Seminar Hall with Air-Conditioning, Address System and other modern electronic gadgets.

  • It is equipped with Computerized services facilities for meeting the needs of the office, as well as, those of the training and research activities of the Institute.

 

  • The Institute has acquired Lap-top and LCD Projector to facilitate Training & Research activities both on and off -campus.

  • Indoor game facilities are available for the trainees and staff.

  • The Institute has a 25-seater Swaraj Majda Bus for taking participants for exposure visits.

  • The Campus has beautiful luscious green Lawns and variety of Flowers, Plants and Trees.

 

Residential Complex

  • The Institute has two separate Residential complexes, one each for the Faculty with 09 houses and Staff members with 16 houses.

Hostel & Dining Hall  for Trainees

 

  • All the training programmes of the Institute are residential. Arrangements for board & lodging are made in the Institute's Hostel. All the rooms are fitted with room-coolers and geysers and can accommodate 45 participants.

  • It has its own cooks for the mess to provide wholesome and homely food to the participants. Other facilities like TV, VCR and phone have been provided in the Hostel Lounge.

Library

 

  • A spacious and well-equipped Library is functioning in the Administrative Block.

  • A good number of journals and periodicals are available for the use of researchers, trainees, trainers, etc.

  • The Library has a collection of 3500 books on wide range of subjects including Panchayati Raj, Management, Rural Development, Computer Science, Watershed Management, Training and Research Methodology, Literature, Biographies,Reports, Statistics etc.,

  • Encyclopaedias, Reference and Source Books are attraction for researches and visitors.

  • It has more than 100 video cassettes on selected important themes and case studies relating to Training and Rural Development.

  • This year the Institute has acquired the latest of books and reference on various subjects worth approximately Rs. 5.00 lacs.

Computer Laboratory

  • The Institute has a well-developed Computer Lab with all the infrastructural facilities to cater to its Training and Research needs. It is equipped with 12 terminals, laser printer and power point. Exposure in computer application is given to senior/ middle level officers/ staff of Rural Development and Sectoral Departments.

 

  • More Computer Systems with P-IV specifications are in the pipeline for strengthening the Computer Lab. This will facilitate training programmes more effective and in consonance with the computerization drive in governance and administration by the State Government and the emerging global scenario.
